The 2027 Ford Bronco gets its biggest shake-up in years, headlined by a more powerful engine and two bold new trims. This is a lineup and powertrain update rather than a redesign, so the rugged, go-anywhere Bronco keeps its removable doors and roof and legendary 4x4 capability while gaining serious muscle. Here is what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop the Bronco at Kunes Ford of Antioch in Antioch, Illinois.

What's New for 2027

The headline is a Raptor-derived engine. The old 2.7-liter V6 is gone, replaced by a detuned version of the Bronco Raptor's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 making 380 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. It is optional on the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Heritage, and standard on the new Filson edition, a collaboration with the Seattle outdoor outfitter. The Bronco also adds a desert-ready RTR trim with Hyper Lime accents, body graphics, and 33-inch tires on 17-inch wheels. A standard 5G modem and the blue Ford oval round out the updates, and a new Neptune Blue paint joins the palette.

What's Changing This Year

The lineup and pricing shift alongside the new engine. Lower Base and Big Bend trims continue with the 2.3-liter turbocharged four (300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet), while the new 3.0-liter V6 anchors the mid and upper range. Ford also discontinued the Stroppe Edition, made LED signature headlamps a roughly $595 option on the Outer Banks and Badlands, and dropped the Velocity Blue and Orange Fury colors. Ford had not released official full-lineup pricing at the time of writing; dealer-sourced figures suggest a starting MSRP around $41,295, so confirm current pricing with the team at Kunes Ford of Antioch.

What's Carrying Over

The Bronco's rugged soul carries over. Its body-on-frame toughness, available removable doors and roof, and serious four-wheel-drive hardware all continue, as do the terrain-management G.O.A.T. modes that make it so capable off-road. The retro-modern styling, upright proportions, and adventure-ready attitude carry forward, so the 2027 Bronco adds power and personality without losing what made it a modern icon.
